The American Red Cross
is taking donations. You can even specify where you want the donation to go.

The British Red Cross has a disaster fund, if not a special fund for the earthquake victims.

The Salvation Army is accepting monetary donations.

Convoy of Hope is already helping the earthquake and tsunami victims, and is accepting donations.

Network for Good--a collection of charities--is working to give relief to the victims of the quake and tsunami. The organizations participating are:

They're already dead. No justice can be made for them.

But we can help by making sure such tragedy never happens again.

Please sigh the petition.

Prosecute for the Slaughter of 100 Sled Dogs!

Bison Slaughter

A tragic slaughter nearly wiped them out more than a century ago. Now some of America's last wild, genetically pure bison face hazing and slaughter as they leave the safety of Yellowstone National Park -- one of the last havens they have left.

Please take action now: Urge Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to prohibit the annual ritual of hazing and slaughtering of America's wild bison.

Dog Chaining in New York

Add to Memories Share

From Care2 Petition site:

Chaining dogs for hours on end is a cruel practice that is not only uncomfortable for dogs, but can be deadly if the dog is restricted from access to water, food or shelter.

New York City Council members will soon vote on a bill to restrict the number of hours that a dog can be chained, to make the maximum hours of chaining no more than three hours in a twelve hour period.

This bill is an important step in animal welfare, and passing this bill in New York will hopefully mean more cities will follow. For the sake of the animals, chained and unable to move more than mere feet, urge New York City Council members to pass Intro. 425 and limit dog chaining.

From myself:

I take this as the beginning of something bigger. Reducing hours of torture is the first step. In the future, a full prohibition. In the future, more cities, states, countries will follow.

Let's fight for a better future for our little friends. Remember they cannot fight for themselves. They need us!

Please take action!

Christmas

Add to Memories Share
Natsumi ( reesexsooxfly )

A sweet moment, full of meaning to our lives.

Time to think about values, life and everything about it.

Time to gaze upon that poor little boy who was born to save us and teach us what really matters is who you are and what you do, and not what you got.

Christian evening when our hearts are flooded with peace and harmony.

Christmas is a celebration day and I hope your eyes will be focused on the bigger party - Jesus' birthday inside of our hearts.

May you and your family experience the real meaning of love
this Christmas.

May all the little ones in need feel it too.

Thank you so much for who you've been and what you've done this year.

Thank you so much for all the petitions you signed and all the actions you took.

Know that somewhere your little gesture was the world to someone.

Know that somewhere your little gesture meant food, protection, respect and life to an animal in need.

Thank you very, very much for caring.

Merry Christmas to all of us and a wonderful 2011!!!

God bless us all.

Save Our Polar Bears

Our polar bears are running out of time!!!

Please urge President Obama to protect polar bear habitat and stop devastating drilling in the places they need
to hunt and rear their young.

Year after year, Big Oil continues its campaign for destructive drilling in vital polar bear habitat.

But Big Oil’s plans could come at a terrible cost to our already-threatened polar bears.

Help protect polar bears from Big Oil. Urge President Obama to secure vital habitat for these iconic sea bears.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION

Wolves Still Need Your Help . . . Desperately!

Taken From Defenders of Wildlife:

Hundreds of wolves have been killed in Idaho and Montana since March 2009 -- more than 230 during wolf hunts that began in
September and continue in Idaho even now because of the Obama administration’s action.

Idaho has already extended its hunting season, putting even more wolf families in the crosshairs -- even pregnant wolf mothers
that only give birth in the spring
.

President Obama can fix this mistake and save our wolves, but he needs to hear from you. Please take action and spread
the word today.

Thank you for your precious help!
